Apple Cinnamon Babka - Sally's Baking Addiction
Apple Cinnamon Babka
Sally's Baking Addiction I Sally McKenney
What is babka?
Babka was discovered in the early 1800's when Polish Jews took leftover challah, twisted it, and filled it with seeds and nuts. When the Jews arrived in New York they started adding chocolate inside because chocolate became more affordable. Now there are many different filling for babka. This babka is filled with sugar, apples, and cinnamon. It tastes like a delicious swirled cinnamon roll. It may look intimidating, but most of the time you are just waiting for the dough to rise and it is a lot easier than it looks. Give it a try!
Here's the recipe from the blog, Sally's Baking Addiction.
