Homemade Oatmeal

When you wake up in the morning and all you want is a healthy and easy breakfast, make this homemade oatmeal! It's delicious and you can add any toppings you want. Here's the recipe by Liana K.
MAKES 2 LARGE SERVINGS
2 cups water
1 cup cashew milk
pinch of salt
1 cup of oats
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
toppings! (ideas at the bottom of the recipe)

Bring the water and milk to a boil and add the salt. Turn the heat down to low and add the oats. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, depending on your desired consistency. If desired, this is the time to add vanilla and cinnamon.

Turn off the heat and let sit, covered, for at least a few minutes.

Add rest of toppings. Here are some topping ideas: Coconut, yogurt, chia seeds, fresh strawberries, roasted nuts, freeze dried strawberries, brown sugar, honey, chocolate, or anything else you would like to add to your oatmeal to make it extra delicious!
